We recently hired Serena Spell of Design Wise Interiors to replace/refinish flooring in our home. The project involved replacing several carpeted areas ( including the stairway) with hardwood, and refinishing the existing adjoining hardwood so that everything looks the same. Serena and her team of installers were terrific to work with. Serena was very involved in the entire project, and stopped by every day during the installation to check on the progress. We were out of town during part of the installation, and she provided daily phone and email updates. The finished floors are beautiful, especially the stairway which involved a great deal of detailed labor. I wholeheartedly recommend Serena to anyone needing interior design services.

I hired Serena Spell to help me make over my apartment. Previously it looked like a college dorm room that Beavis and Butthead would live in. Afterwards it looked like something out of a catalog. I have gotten a ton of compliments.
Working with Serena was wonderful and very painless. She came up with a lot of great ideas, and kept it simple for me to understand, as someone with no background in decorating. Serena, from Design Wise Interiors, came to my home to help me pick new wall colors and carpeting, wood flooring, slate for my entry and other misc ideas for my home. It went great. She helped me pick paint colors that I never would have thought of myself and they go really well with my furniture. She had lots of good ideas and was frank when I wanted her to be but she was sensitive to recognize that there were some things we would not change due to finances and helped me work around those issues. She was also able to help me with contractors for carpeting and wood flooring and brought samples to my home to pick out what would be best and she provided many different samples and price ranges. She also acted as my liaison with the contractors and involved herself with the scheduling and progress of the project. I was not charged for the time she spent dealing with the contractors.
